West Asia: Guesthouse

In Western Asia, there are hundreds of unreached people groups where the name of Jesus has not been heard, and there are no believers or churches making Him known to them. Avant’s heart is that everyone would have the opportunity to know Jesus, and in regions of the world like Asia, we are using creative strategies such as “Business for Transformation” (B4T) ministries to reach them.

As we continually look for creative ways to support church planting in this region of the world, an exciting opportunity has arisen! Some of the most beautiful and famous hiking trails in the world are located in Western Asia. Along one famous trail that attracts tourists from all over the world, a guesthouse, adjoining shop, and café have become available for purchase. The current owners have been using this business for ministry and are now looking to retire. The guesthouse has hosted people from numerous countries who come to rest and be refreshed on their journey. Over the years, many who have stayed and enjoyed the wonderful hospitality at the guesthouse have heard the gospel for the first time.

The guesthouse is also situated among an unreached people group with only a few known believers among them. Investing in this property would allow our workers to continue building up this small group of believers, working with them to spread the gospel and plant a church in this region.

The goal for this project is to raise $350,000 to purchase, renovate, and staff the guesthouse, store, and café. These businesses have already proven to be self-sustaining, and our workers plan to continue operating a self-sustaining business for the transformation of lives through the gospel. Your gift will help complete the purchase and renovation of the guesthouse so that the name of Jesus can be known in this region of Asia and beyond.
