Avant has been preparing believers for local and global ministry for more than 90 years at institutions around the world, including bible institutes and seminaries which it has founded and operated, as well as others with whom it partners.
A focus on solid theological education is an important aspect of church planting strategy. Theological training of pastors and missionaries leads to the development of missionally healthy churches and the sending of more cross-cultural workers globally. Just as Jesus spent three years teaching his disciples to lead the early church, Avant engages in the investment of time for today's disciples to be equipped and sent.

Missionary Kid (MK) Education
Having 500 members serving in 50 countries around the world means that there are quite a few missionary kids that make up the Avant family. Avant has a dedicated MK Care couple and an MK Education Coordinator to help missionary families with educational options and resources on the field, and to help young adult MK's transitioning to college.
