Volunteers in Avant (VIA) and Missionary Associates Program (MAP):
The
Volunteers In Avant program is an experience for teams, couples or individuals
involved in temporary, on-field work or ministry projects usually less than one
(1) month in duration. Not all VIA projects are suitable for children. However,
junior and senior high students ages 13-17 may participate in VIA projects
approved for teens by the Field Director or Team Leader. Teens must be
accompanied by an adult age 21 or older.

Teams, couples and individuals working with Avant less than 1 month.

In the Missionary Associate Program volunteers are workers sent out in a supportive role on field-approved
assignments with a term of one (1) to six (6) months. MAP volunteers must be at
least 18 years of age, be approved by the respective Field Director or Team
Leader and have a Volunteer Information Form approved and on file at the
International Service Center before leaving for the field.
Missionary Associate Program (MAP):
Adult volunteers working on summer and short-term assignments with a term of
1-6 months.
