Ministry Description
A missionary couple, dedicated to mentoring individuals and small groups of leaders, as well as teaching in public forums through out the coastal region. The prime message is to instill Avant ends as a natural part of leadership's understanding of Biblical church development. The task at hand is that of stabilizing the existing church, not to establish new ministries.

The couple will need to be fluent in Spanish, and free to travel. The center of our coastal work is in the Guayaquil - Babaohoyo - Vinces - Cataramas areas.

Duties and Responsibilities

  • Encouraging leadership in existing churches primarily through mentoring, but also through
  • Seminars, church services, workshops etc.
  • Although the emphasis is on teaching the leadership, teaching the church in various contexts will be part of the overall task.
Skills and Qualifications
  • Knowledgeable of Avant Ends
  • Good interpersonal skills
  • Bible school graduate
  • Self starter
  • Freedom to travel

Language
Spanish is essential

Experience and Training Needed
Avant requires education or training appropriate for the specific ministry in which the candidate will be engaged.  For those serving longer than six months, completion of the Avant Candidate Orientation Program is also required.  It is expected that applicants will have demonstrated their abilities in Christian service prior to application.  A good working knowledge of the Bible is required for all personnel.
