Whether you are currently a student teacher, teacher or administrator in the public or private sector, or retired... if you have a sincere desire to serve God through teaching, a willingness to trust God for financial support and want to model Christian principles in and out of the classroom, you may be just the one God wants to serve on the SCCLC Team!

Skills and Qualifications

• A desire to minister to the children of missionaries as well as international students.
• A bachelor's degree is required.
• Teacher certification preferred but not required.
• Preferably two years of teaching experience at level to be taught.

Language
All classes are taught in English. No other language knowledge required by school. Spanish would be helpful.

Experience and Training Needed
Bachelor’s degree required. Certification with experience preferred but not required. Certification by Association of Christian Schools International is best. (For info write: ACSI, P.O. Box 35097, Colorado Springs, CO 80935) Experience without certification acceptable with good references. Very willing to look at applications of newly graduated teachers with an evidenced interest in missionary children’s schools.

Avant requires education or training appropriate for the specific ministry in which the candidate will be engaged.  For those serving longer than six months, completion of the Avant Candidate Orientation Program is also required.  It is expected that applicants will have demonstrated their abilities in Christian service prior to application.  A good working knowledge of the Bible is required for all personnel.

The Santa Cruz Christian Learning Center (SCCLC) in Santa Cruz, Bolivia, is an ACSI-accredited school of about 250 students grades pre-K through 12th. The school serves approximately 125 families from the missions community, the expatriate community, and the Bolivian community. We provide quality Christ-centered, college-preparatory education in the growing city of Santa Cruz. In recent years, more than 12 nationalities, multiple languages, and as many as 30 mission organizations are represented in the student body .
