KANSAS CITY, Mo.—The most recent Short-Cycle Church Planting team from Avant Ministries has completed their team training. Team Gdansk is the first team to be sent from the Joint Venture cooperative between Lincoln-Berean Church In Lincoln, Neb. and Avant Ministries.

The team, led by Clint K. and his wife Melissa, includes Shelly A., Dawn E., Kimberly P. and Calvin C.  They will spend 5 years in Gdansk, Poland, planting a nationally-led church.  During training, Team Gdansk focused on developing their individual strengths in order to benefit the entire team.

“This is what is exciting about going as a team. If [my wife] Missy and I were going alone, we would have to fill in the gaps out of necessity,” said Clint K.  “But with a team, the opposite happens. Where I have a weakness, perhaps it is Kimberly's strength. Where Missy is strong, Calvin does not need to be. We are released to be who God created us to be.”Team Gdansk deploys for Gdansk, Poland on September 9.
