May 29 to August 17 (Missionary Associate)
Ministry Description
Under the guidance of the Health Manager, supply camp with all the necessary medical help to ensure the wellness of camp.
Duties and Responsibilities
- Reports directly to the Health Manager
- Monitor campers, staff and premises for health/safety issues
- Administer First-Aid and follow-up care
- Administer medications per standing and prescription orders
- To assist in providing confidential care and counseling/advise
Skills and Qualifications
- A nurse or nursing student with at least one-year clinical experience
- A licensed nurse would need a temporary Alaska license and malpractice insurance is strongly recommended
- A nursing student would need references from their nursing instructors
Experience and Training Needed
Avant requires education or training appropriate for the specific ministry in
which the candidate will be engaged. It is expected that applicants will have demonstrated their abilities in Christian service prior to application. A good working knowledge of the Bible is required for all personnel.
