April 15 to October 1 (Missionary Associate)

*For this position, a service commitment of 2 or more summers is preferred* 

Ministry Description
Assist maintenance staff with general repair and maintenance of camp equipment, facilities and grounds.

Duties and Responsibilities

• General building repair and maintenance
• Light construction
• Equipment operation (Farm tractors, backhoes, etc.)

Skills and Qualifications

• A mix of the following skills would be beneficial:
• Carpentry and/or construction
• Heating
• Plumbing
• Electrical
• Welding
• Mechanical repair (Diesel and gas engines)
• Etc.
• Any schooling or on the job training that has enabled the applicant to perform these skills professionally is desired.

Experience and Training Needed
Avant requires education or training appropriate for the specific ministry in which the candidate will be engaged. It is expected that applicants will have demonstrated their abilities in Christian service prior to application.  A good working knowledge of the Bible is required for all personnel.
