Ministry Description
Maintain, repair and help procure all mechanical equipment that is currently in use at camp.

Duties and Responsibilities

• Setting and keeping preventative maintenance schedule for all applicable vehicles and equipment
• Seasonal maintenance/repair during camp season and continual repair of all camp vehicles and power plants throughout remainder of the year
• Overseeing the maintenance shop and the ordering of it’s supplies
• Upgrading vehicle fleet as it becomes necessary

• Mechanical abilities in troubleshooting, repairing and maintaining the various types and styles of vehicles and equipment.
• Formal and/or on-the-job training that has enabled the applicant to perform these duties professionally.

Experience and Training Needed
Avant requires education or training appropriate for the specific ministry in which the candidate will be engaged.  For those serving longer than six months, completion of the Avant Candidate Orientation Program is also required.  It is expected that applicants will have demonstrated their abilities in Christian service prior to application.  A good working knowledge of the Bible is required for all personnel.
