Paul Nyquist
President/Chief Executive Officer
Dr. Paul Nyquist became
the president of Avant Ministries in 2001. Before joining Avant, he served as
senior pastor at First Federated Church
in Des Moines, Iowa,
and Evangelical Bible
Church in Omaha, Nebraska.
Paul was also a member of the board of directors for Avant and an adjunct
professor at Grace University in Omaha
and Phoenix Seminary in Scottsdale,
Arizona. He has also served as
chairman of the Commission on Churches for the Fellowship of Evangelical Bible Churches.
Paul graduated from the University of Nebraska at Lincoln with
a Bachelor of Science in Architectural Studies in 1976. He received a Master of
Theology in 1981 and a Ph.D. in Systematic Theology in 1984 from Dallas Theological
Seminary. He and his wife, Cheryl, have been married for more than twenty-six
years and are the parents of Natalie, Taylor, Carson, and Sawyer.
