In the US: You will be mailed a receipt for each donation along with a return envelope. Each receipt has a detachable bottom portion that you may send in with your next contribution. Your receipt will provide you with a year-to-date total of your giving and indicate whether gifts were tax-deductible or not, in accordance with federal tax laws.

In Canada: Except for donations made by automatic fund transfer, an acknowledgment letter is prepared for each gift.  Each acknowledgment letter has a detachable portion that can be returned with your next contribution.  The acknowledgment letter will provide you with a year to date total of your giving.  An annual official receipt for tax purposes will be issued at the beginning of the following year.
