France has become a mission field. Depression, suicide and unemployment rates are soaring. Less than one percent of the 60 million people in France are evangelical Christians. One study shows that 60% of French people say they “never” or “practically never” attend church.This is the highest percentage of the 14 major Western nations surveyed.

On Avant survey trips in 2005 and 2006,we interviewed many French pastors and ministry leaders.One French Evangelical Association leader said,“Innovation is essential because current methods do not work. We don’t need more people doing what we are already doing.”

Short-Cycle Church Planting is the strategic,God-enabled process which seeks to continuously shorten the time needed to develop a mature church. Our purpose is to involve specially selected ministry teams to employ innovative means to speed the church-planting process.
