Ministry Description
The MK Care Specialist will support Team Italy One by coming alongside the team’s three families and providing assistance in the areas of education and child care. The team began ministering in Genoa, Italy, in the fall of 2007.
Duties and Responsibilities
- Facilitate the education process of 10 children through daily tutoring
- Provide child care during weekly team meetings and other ministry functions
Skills and Qualifications
- Experience and/or training in elementary education
- A Love for children
- Ability to thrive in a constantly changing work environment
- Experience with special needs children would be helpful
Experience and Training Needed
Avant requires education or training appropriate for the specific ministry in which the candidate will be engaged. For those serving longer than six months, completion of the Avant Candidate Orientation Program is also required. It is expected that applicants will have demonstrated their abilities in Christian service prior to application. A good working knowledge of the Bible is required for all personnel.
