Ministry Description
Assist maintenance staff with general repair and maintenance of camp equipment, facilities and grounds.

• Light construction
  
• Pool Maintenance in the summer
• Yard work including mowing

Skills and Qualifications

• Carpentry, plumbing, mechanical repair, helpful but not required

Language
Spanish helpful but not required.

Experience and Training Needed
Avant requires education or training appropriate for the specific ministry in which the candidate will be engaged.  For those serving longer than six months, completion of the Avant Candidate Orientation Program is also required.  It is expected that applicants will have demonstrated their abilities in Christian service prior to application.  A good working knowledge of the Bible is required for all personnel.

Springs of Life Camp
Springs of Life is a Christian camp and conference center used by the evangelical churches in southern Spain. Since 1980, when Gospel Missionary Union (now Avant Ministries) purchased the property, the camp has been serving the evangelical community by providing opportunities for evangelism, discipleship, family unity and fellowship. Summer workers are needed to help the camp run smoothly so that the campers are not distracted from hearing and studying God's Word. They will be involved in any or all of the following: kitchen work, bathroom and dorm room clean up, watering plants, cleaning the pool and the grounds and miscellaneous other work. It is the goal of Avant Spain to give their summer volunteers as much exposure to missions in Spain and North Africa as possible. We want to minister to them through regularly scheduled times together which will include orientation to Spain, devotionals, informal chats and fun times spent together such as sightseeing trips. For U.S. and Canadian citizens no special visas are required for their stay if it is 3 months or less. No immunizations are required either. Summer help must raise $30.00 a day for their time here plus airfare and spending money.
