Black Forest Academy | www.bfacademy.com
Black Forest Academy is a Christian boarding school for
grades 7-12 (ages 13-19), primarily serving missionary families in Europe and Africa.
There is also a small day school
serving elementary-age children of BFA staff and of the surrounding
communities. BFA is registered in Canada and uses a Canadian
curriculum. All faculty and staff
come on a missionary basis. Entry into Germany is on a passport.
All teachers live in rented quarters. The cost of living is
high, and a car is a necessity. Dorm parents living in a dorm
have their own bedroom, living room and bathroom. Kitchen
facilities are shared by the whole dorm. Resident assistants have a
room in the dorm, share washroom facilities with students and dine with the students.
German is primarily spoken, and any knowledge of the
language is helpful for community outreach. All ministry
at BFA, however, is in English.
