Ministry Description
Teacher to missionary kids at Bamako Christian Academy, grades Kindergarten through 12th. Specific staff needs for the 2008-2009 year are:

• Administrator
  
• Elementary School (3 teachers)
• Mathematics
• Social Studies
• Bible 

Duties and Responsibilities

• Teacher to BCA students, full time (school runs from 7:30am- 1:50pm); there are 175 school days plus teacher days per year.

• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent required.
• Two years teaching experience and teaching credentials in job area preferred.
• Experience in the areas of music, art, drama, etc. greatly appreciated.

Language
Although not required, a working knowledge of French is encouraged.

Experience and Training Needed
Avant requires education or training appropriate for the specific ministry in which the candidate will be engaged.  For those serving longer than six months, completion of the Avant Candidate Orientation Program is also required.  It is expected that applicants will have demonstrated their abilities in Christian service prior to application.  A good working knowledge of the Bible is required for all personnel.
